I prayed to God for more speaking engagements. He answered! This summer alone our ministry has received 5 speaking engagement requests and arranged for me to attend a conference as well as a speaking and writing workshop. Most of these events are occurring between the months of August 2018 and October 2018. The preparation is as fun as it is demanding. That being said, I’m going to bed. As in . . . I will not be writing a formal blog post this week.
I’ve always tried to practice the art of implementing at least one “no” for every “yes” in order to create a sense of balance and avoid burnout. Well, here is my “no.” It’s a tough one because I love to write and send out these posts each week. I realize, however, that the goal is not to never miss a week, but rather to never pass up an opportunity to effectively communicate God’s message to His people. And I prefer to do that from a place of rest. Not to mention, His message to me is “go to bed.” And I am about to do just that. I will wake up and write another Thursday’s Thirst QuencHer soon. Prayerfully, what I learn from all of this speaking, “conferencing,” and “workshopping” will be reflected in those posts.
In the meantime,
- Share one of your favorite Thirst QuencHers with a friend.
- Write a comment below about how a Thirst QuencHer has blessed you.
- Pray for this ministry as we continue to grow and make Him known.
- Read your Bible. Everyday.
As you pray for me, I’ll be over here praying, “Lord continue to TransformHer With a Word from You.”
“. . . get some rest.”
Mark 6:31b

Sometimes it’s hard to miss out step down or sit this one out. But I’m so glad you were obedient and decided to rest. We’re lookin for long term victories not immediate fulfillment. Long distance versus a sprint. I’m following your lead….in a few.

Yes! “Long term victories not immediate fulfullment.” I love that! And thanks for the honesty and the chance to laugh at “…in a few” (lololol)
