Restarting My Writing Journey: Embracing Progress and Purpose
A few months back, I made the choice to restart my writing practice. Back in 2016, I learned that running a website where I could share my thoughts helped keep me inspired, organized, and on track. So, I gave my site a fresh new look!
Still, I found myself unable to get words on the page, even after the update. I’d come up with ideas and jot down drafts, but nothing seemed to click. Eventually, I realized I just needed to put something out there—giving myself permission to value progress over perfection.
Now, I’m beginning once more.
Even though some things remain uncertain, “…I am certain that God, who began the good work within [us], will continue his work until it is finally finished…” (Phil 1:6 NLT)
With that said, welcome to christywilliams.org—a place where women can discover the truth of Scripture and the depth of God’s love. Please browse around, reach out, and share your thoughts.
And if you’re also stuck in the trap of perfectionism because you’re afraid to fail, try sharing something. Whatever that looks like for you right now. Making progress is a great feeling.
Receive: Philippians 1:6 – The “good work” Paul mentions refers to the lifelong process of sanctification, making believers more like Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Reflect: Knowing that God is using all circumstances for our growth and His glory can bring comfort and strength to a neighbor in times of difficulty.

Congratulations!
I’m proud of you. Keep writing. Keep resting. Keep working.
May God bless you with balance, a healthy writing rhythm, and the flexibility to be kind to yourself when life allows time for creative production and when it does not.
